Magical Vastu Remedies for the Sawan Month-2026

The holy month of Sawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered an auspicious time for prayer, spiritual cleansing and creating positive energy at home. According to traditional Vastu beliefs, a few simple remedies performed with faith and discipline during Sawan may help remove negativity, improve peace and create a more balanced atmosphere.

These remedies are based on religious and cultural beliefs and should be followed as positive spiritual practices rather than guaranteed solutions.

1. Offer Water to Lord Shiva

One of the most powerful Sawan remedies is offering clean water to a Shivling, especially on Mondays.

Add a few drops of Gangajal to the water and offer it slowly while chanting:

“Om Namah Shivaya”

This practice is traditionally believed to calm the mind, reduce obstacles and bring harmony to the home.

2. Keep the North-East Direction Clean

The north-east direction, also known as the Ishaan corner, is considered highly sacred in Vastu. During Sawan, clean this area thoroughly and remove unnecessary items, shoes, dustbins or heavy furniture.

Place a small copper pot filled with clean water or Gangajal in this direction. Change the water regularly.

A clean north-east corner is believed to improve clarity, peace and spiritual energy.

3. Place a Bowl of Rock Salt

Fill a small glass bowl with rock salt and place it in the bathroom, near the entrance or in a corner that feels heavy or negative.

Change the salt every seven days and dispose of the old salt outside the house.

According to Vastu beliefs, rock salt helps absorb stagnant and negative energy. Do not reuse the removed salt for cooking.

4. Light Camphor and Cloves

Every evening during Sawan, burn a small piece of camphor with two cloves in a fire-safe container.

Move it carefully around the main rooms of the house while chanting “Om Namah Shivaya.”

This remedy is believed to purify the atmosphere and reduce tension. Ensure proper ventilation and avoid it if someone has asthma, allergies or breathing difficulties.

5. Decorate the Main Entrance

The main entrance is considered the primary point through which energy enters the home.

Keep it clean and well-lit. Draw a small Swastik with turmeric or vermilion on both sides of the door. You may also place a toran made of fresh mango leaves or flowers.

Avoid keeping broken footwear, dustbins or damaged objects near the entrance.

6. Offer Bel Patra to Lord Shiva

Offer three-leaf Bel Patra to Lord Shiva during Sawan. Wash the leaves before offering them and ensure they are not damaged.

While offering Bel Patra, pray for peace, health and harmony in the family.

You may also plant a Bel tree in the north or north-east direction if you have sufficient open space and can care for it properly.

7. Use Gangajal for Home Purification

Add a few drops of Gangajal to clean water and sprinkle it lightly around the house after morning prayers.

Pay special attention to the main entrance, prayer room and north-east direction.

This traditional remedy is believed to remove heaviness and create a peaceful environment.

8. Fix Leaking Taps

Sawan is connected with water, and water has special significance in the worship of Lord Shiva.

According to Vastu, continuously leaking taps may symbolise the unnecessary loss of money and positive energy. Repair dripping taps, broken pipes and water seepage without delay.

Also avoid wasting water while performing religious rituals.

9. Remove Broken and Unused Items

Broken mirrors, stopped clocks, damaged idols, cracked utensils and dried plants should not remain inside the home.

Sawan is a good time to declutter the house and donate usable items to someone in need.

Removing unnecessary objects may help the home feel lighter, cleaner and more organised.

10. Perform the Most Powerful Sawan Remedy

On a Sawan Monday, clean the prayer area and light a lamp using ghee. Offer water, Bel Patra and white flowers to Lord Shiva.

Chant “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times and pray sincerely for the removal of obstacles and negativity.

After the prayer, donate food, milk, clothes or another useful item to someone in need.

The real power of this remedy lies in faith, cleanliness, gratitude and charitable action.

Final Thought

The most magical Vastu remedy in Sawan is not an expensive object or complicated ritual. It is the combination of a clean home, peaceful behaviour, sincere prayer, water conservation and helping others.

When the physical environment and personal intentions are both positive, the home naturally becomes more peaceful and welcoming.
